Description
The Fourier series is a mathematical tool used to which represent periodic function as a sum of sine and cosine functions. It is named after the French mathematician Jean-Baptiste Joseph Fourier, who developed the theory in the early 19th century. This module explains the Fourier Series. The Fourier series is applied in many applications such as in electrical engineering, vibration analysis, acoustics, optics, signal processing and image processing.
The module consists of two parts. In the first part, the module explains about periodic functions, the properties of odd and even functions, the Fourier series for full range functions, (-L,L). In the second part, the explanation continues with the Fourier Sine series for odd function, the Fourier cosine series for even function and the Fourier series for half range function (0,L).
Interactive videos and contents are provided to help students to understand each topic in this course. Students are encouraged to participate in all activities in this course to test their understanding about the topic. To pass this course, students must pass the passing grade to receive the completion certificate.
Let's start your journey of Fourier Series. We hope you enjoy the journey, the learning and gaining as much knowledge as you can through this course.
