A VPN is an application that provides end-to-end encryption for your internet connection. This encryption ensures a secure web connection to UTeM network and devices, regardless of your location. Once connected to UTeM VPN, your data is encrypted, making it private and protected from potential threats like fake Wi-Fi, hackers, man-in-the-middle attacks, and advertisers. It’s like being inside UTeM’s secure network even when you’re outside.
UTeM VPN service is exclusively for UTeM staff and students, with exceptions for third-party users granted permission by UTeM, such as outside vendors.
Before using UTeM VPN, ensure your UTeM Wi-Fi ID and password work without issues because the VPN uses the same credentials. Also, make sure you log in to your respective virtual hub. Refer to the UTeM VPN manual for instructions on how to use the service based on your device type.
