Creating a great course landing page is important to attract learners to enroll in your course. To make a compelling page, you need to include several components such as the course title, subtitle, and description.
Title and descriptions #
The course title should be concise and specific with less than 60 characters, and include relevant keywords to help learners find your course.
The subtitle should give a brief overview of the course and mention 3-4 important areas covered, with 120 characters or less.
The description should be at least 200 words long, and showcase what differentiates your course from others. It should also address the learners’ questions such as how the course will help them personally or professionally, and what problems, needs, or desires it addresses.
You can always modify course description on the “Edit Course Description” page.
Basic Information #
Basic information like the language, level of expertise, and category are also important to help learners find your course. You need to choose the narrowest, best-fitting subcategory available, and tag your course with the most comprehensive and specific topic that summarizes what it’s about.
The course banner #
The course banner should be appealing and relevant, while the promotional video should be under 2 minutes to help learners decide whether to enroll.
In UCreds, the course banner is located in the “Course Management > Edit Course Setting” menu.
Instructor profile #
The instructor profile is also crucial as it provides learners with the credibility, empathy, passion, and personality of the instructor. You need to highlight what makes you an expert, share examples of how you learned the concepts you’re teaching, show your excitement about the subject, and add some fun facts about yourself or share your interests. Including links to your social media accounts is also helpful to grow your audience.
You can always modify your profile on the “Profile Page”.
